Large bucks have been succesfully called to our tree stands. Some have been taken and some are missed when the buck fever hits. Make sure your rifle is aimed properly for the best success.

Our hunting guests can enjoy their stay at Poplar Lodge. Poplar Lodge is located in Sleeman, Ontario which is located in North Western Ontario, Canada near the town of Rainy River, Ontario and Baudette, Minnesota situated at the south tip of Lake of the Woods. Our Lodge is accessible by vehicle and soon we hope to have an airstrip for small aircraft.

Our guides will scour suitable hunting areas for our guests looking for scrapes, rubs, watering holes, and crossing areas. We limit our hunters to one per 40 acres.

Our objective is to provide a quiet restful hunt without disturbing the wildlife. All of our hunts are done from large comfortable and quiet tree stands for this purpose. We will carefully choose an area for what you have in mind and clear shooting lanes when necessary. We will show you your stand the first day, and then you have the option of walking to the stand early in the morning or get a ride from us. We will then check in on by radio mid-may and then again later to bring you home at dusk. Other stands will be available if you choose to move. Two way radio's will also be provided for good communication.

We are cuurrently booking the Fall 2011 season. Many non-residents are boasting successful hunts, and bringing home their prize cape, head, and antlers for mounting.

Our guests will have several options available to them. You may choose to stay at our lodge, rent a cabin, or find your own accomodations. Hunters staying as guests in our lodge can expect a full breakfast, a bagged lunch for their tree stand, and a scrumpious large supper to end the day before bedding down into their comfortable bed.

All hunting plans require a 50% deposit to hold your spot. The balance is to be paid immediately upon arrival.
